Actor Peter Sellers Planned to Divorce Widow Who Inherited His Estate

Sellers When actor Peter Sellers died in 1980, the majority of his estate passed to his wife Lynne Frederick.  But, the couple had reached a final divorce agreement before Peter’s death.  His death prevented the divorce from becoming final.  As a result, Frederick inherited the bulk of Peter’s £4.5 estate and his children from a prior marriage received £750 each under his will. The children were unable to challenge the will.

On Nov. 14, the divorce agreement will be auctioned and is expected to bring in £3,000.
