Jackson Ranks Among Highest Earning Dead Celebrities

Forbes estimates that Michael Jackson has earned $72 million since his death.  This estimate was calculated before the release of the film “This Is It,” which earned $21 million over the weekend.  

According to Forbes, Jackson is ranked as the third-highest earning dead celebrity for the last twelve months.  J.R.R. Tolkien, whose estate has also been the subject of this blog, is ranked as the fifth highest earning dead celebrity for that same time period.
