Jackson’s Father Challenges Executors; Judge Rules No Standing
Late Monday evening, Joe Jackson’s attorney filed a motion accusing the executors of Michael Jackson’s estate of fraud and conflict of interest. Joe Jackson was completely left out of Michael Jackson’s will.
During a hearing on Tuesday, however, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Beckloff ruled that Joe Jackson did not have standing to challenge the executors and would gain nothing by doing so.
During the hearing, Katherine Jackson also dropped her objections to the appointment of John Branca and John McClain as executors of the estate. Joe Jackson’s attorney accused Katherine Jackson of reneging on a an agreement to challenge the executors and making a secret deal with the executors.
As a result of Katherine Jackson’s withdrawn objections and Joe Jackson’s lack of standing to challenge the executors, Branca and McClain were formally appointed executors of the Jackson estate.
Joe Jackson’s request for a monthly allowance will be considered on Dec. 10.
