Reunion of Surviving Members of Rock Band Sublime Opposed By Lead Singer’s Estate
The lead singer of the rock bank Sublime died in 1996. The estate of the lead singer have since attempted to prevent reunion performances by the remaining band members under the Sublime name, but have been unsuccessful so far. The estate claims that the lead singer solely owned the name Sublime, registered it as a trademark under his name, and expressed an intent for the name to never be used by a band not including himself.
