The boomers are finding out the perils of old age–longevity but with disabilities. How does Mom pay for the costs of care? Would giving all of her assets to her children allow her to qualify for government assistance? Or should Mom transfer all of her assets into a Trust for herself and then try to qualify for benefits? Does the State place a lien on her home if she should apply for Medicaid assistance? The presentation will distinguish the myth from reality when the client is looking for government assistance with the cost of disability along with updates to 2009 policy changes.
