Michael Jackson’s Estate Continues to Grow

Michael Jackson’s estate has made close to $1 billion in the year since he died, 47 times what he made the previous year. This money came from soaring record sales and contracts for shows about Jackson.

Jackson isn’t the first star to earn billions postmortem. Estates of the following stars also received a boost from their deaths:

• Elvis: £1 Billion
• Kurt Cobain: £450 Million
• John Lennon:  £140 Million
• Jimi Hendrix: £90 Million
