Johnny Carson’s Massive Charitable Bequest

The John W. Carson Foundation tax return disclosed that it received $156 million this year from the John W. Carson Trust, which was created by Johnny Carson years prior to his death. This massive bequest has made the Carson foundation larger than the biggest Hollywood charities. It’s now even larger than the foundation run by entertainment titan David Geffen.
