Nazi Art Looting Case Settled

Rudolph leopold

Rudolf Leopold was dedicated and ruthless in building his art collection, unbothered by the fact that some of his paintings may have been acquired by Nazi looting. Two of his paintings in particular were involved in litigation with Holocaust survivors when he died on June 29. Within less than a month, the historic litigation surrounding the paintings was settled. Litigating this case to death cost the Leopold Museum multiples of what it would have cost if the parties settled years ago.

Special thanks to Jim Hillhouse (WealthCounsel) for bringing this to my attention.
