The Sex Pistols Creator Malcolm McLaren’s Son Launches Bitter Will Contest
Malcolm McLaren, The Sex Pistols creator, died of mesothelioma in April at age 64. His will, written on his deathbed, disinherits his son, Joe Corre, and leaves everything to his long-time girlfriend Young Kim.
Joe argues that his father lacked capacity to execute the will and that it should be thrown out. Without this will, McLaren’s assets would go to his son. Joe’s victory seems unlikely, however, because the two had such a dysfunctional relationship that Joe was probably the last person to whom McLaren would have left his estate to.
Young Kim is distraught by the will contest and desperately wants to resolve the issue before it goes to court.
