Anna Nicole Smith Case to be Heard Early Next Year

Anna-nicole-smith_stock I previously mentioned that the United States Supreme Court accepted Anna Nicole Smith’s case. This is the second time that the Supreme Court will hear arguments over Howard Marshall’s $1.6 billion estate. The case is likely to be heard early next year.

In March, a California federal appeals court ruled against Smith, holding that Smith’s heirs should not receive any of the $300 million she claimed from Marshall’s estate. Because both Smith and Pierce Marshall have died, their heirs have taken up the battle. Smith’s longtime boyfriend Howard Stern has been fighting on behalf of Smith’s daughter, Danielynn, who is now four years old.

Special thanks to Peter Parlapiano (2011 MBA/M.S. PFP candidate, Texas Tech) for bringing this to my attention.
