58th Annual Taxation Conference

CLE The University of Texas at Austin School of Law is sponsoring the 58th annual Taxation Conference on December 8-9, 2010. An overview of the conference is below:

The Taxation Conference covers the latest in tax regulations and policy, and looks ahead to proposed and prospective tax legislation.

The 2010 conference opens with Martin J. McMahon and Ira B. Shepard’s Recent Developments in Federal Income Taxation and continues with in-depth coverage of state and federal payroll tax audits, cancellation of debt (COD) income, negotiating offers in compromise, S corps, exempt organizations, Roth IRA conversions, responding to IRS requests for information, undisclosed foreign financial accounts, Section 409A violations, the economic substance doctrine, carried interests, inadvertent income tax traps and more.
