Even Applying for a Job at Volkswagen Concerns Inheritance Issues

Kimberly Weisul posted The 25 Weirdest Interview Questions of 2010 on BNET on January 6th. Amongst questions like, “If you were shrunk to the size of a pencil and put in a blender, how would you get out?” and “How many ridges are there around a quarter?” is a question related to inheritance issues. Question #25, by Volkswagen, asks, “What would you do if you just inherited a pizzeria from your uncle?”

A spokeswoman for Volkswagen told BNET that the question is not standard, but “the company’s business analysts often have to take over and manage projects started by other people, so this question may have been a manager’s attempt to see how a job candidate would run a project they ‘inherited.’”
