TV Executive Gets 25 Years to Life for Beheading Wife
I recently blogged about Muzzammil Hassan beheading his wife just days after she filed for divorce, and that Riggs v. Palmer would likely prevent him from inheriting his wife’s assets. He was convicted of second-degree murder and was sentenced to 25 years to life on Wednesday. The District Attorney thought this was an appropriate sentence given the violent nature of the murder and Mr. Hassan’s total lack of remorse.

Special thanks to David S. Luber (Attorney at law, Florida Probate Attorney Wills and Estates Law Firm) for bringing this to my attention.
