Family Excluded from New York Heiress’ Funeral

110524-clark-flowers807CA6_grid-4x2 I previously blogged about the death of New York Heiress Huguette Clark. Clark’s body was entombed yesterday morning in the mausoleum that holds her father, mother, sister, and other relatives. A funeral service was not held, and the only people in attendance were employees of the mausoleum’s restoration company, the funeral home, and the Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, New York.

Clark’s attorney did not give Clark’s family information regarding her burial. He only informed her family that Clark did not wish to have a funeral service or mass.

There has been no will filed or any type accounting of Clark’s fortune. If a court invalidates Clark’s will upon a successful will contest, Clark’s nearest relatives will inherit her estate.
