The “Real Daughter” of Elvis Presley Sues for $130M
Lisa Johansen, a forty-three year old woman, has sused the estate of Elvis Presley for over $130 million, claiming she is the real daughter of the deceased singer. Johansen claims she was sent to Sweden after Presley’s death and was replaced by the “imposter” Lisa Marie Presley. Johansen has also sued attorney Marty Singer for defamation and the infliction of emotional distress after Singer warned Johansen about her “malicious false claims and offensive wrongful conduct.”
In the late 90s, Johansen published her autobiography entitled, “I, Lisa Marie.” Johansen’s publishers later sued Johansen in 2000 for breach of contract after she refused to take a stipulated DNA test. Johansen claims she consented to a DNA test in London last year, and that the results have yet to be released.
