CLE on Advanced Estate Planning Techniques
The American Law Institute and American Bar Association will sponsor the 26th Annual ALIA-ABA Course of Study, Advanced Estate Planning Techniques, on March 22-23 in San Fransico, CA. A description of the course is below:
This annual course, now held in San Francisco rather than Maui, has been very successful and popular, in part because except for the co-chairs the speakers and topics are different every year. As always, we have a great line-up, including such topics as how to read valuation reports, strategies for modifying wills and trusts after formation, drafting special needs trusts, premium financing and economic benefit split dollar arrangements, and much more, as well as the usual annual current developments update. Our speakers this year include Carlyn McCaffrey, Skip Fox, Stephanie Loomis-Price, Dana Fitzsimons, Sharon Klein, Mary Ann Mancini, Joshua Rubenstein and Domingo Such. Jeff Pennell and Lawrence P. Katzenstein will also be speaking as well as moderating the entire program. A lot has happened since last year! As always, emphasis is placed on the practical aspects of estate planning. Our topics this year will range widely, and there will be numerous opportunities during and after the sessions to quiz the faculty and each other with your own questions. I know there will be lots to talk about.
Why Attend?
This annual course features maximum give and take among faculty and experienced trust and estate practitioners from around the country. Because the topics and most of the faculty change every year, many registrants make this course their annual must attend event.
This course, comprising 15 hours of instruction with 1½ hours of ethics, emphasizes carefully selected topics that focus on the latest developments and that registrants will find a little different from most other estate planning programs. Time is reserved for the faculty to address registrants’ questions.
