A BBC reporter set out to find an internet troll who leaves messages on Facebook’s RIP pages such as “Rot in Piss” to see just what kind of person was behind such commentary. BBC found Darren Burton in Cardiff, Wales — a troll who goes by Nimrod Severen. Burton often posts brutal, bigoted, and racists comments on pages and he doesn’t deny these postings. When asked about how his postings must affect those he is attacking, he replied with a flippant answer in more crude terms. He was also asked to comment on whether he thought he was breaking the law. Burton replied that he should be able to say whatever he likes on an open forum such as Facebook. And even if he is breaking some law, he isn’t concerned about the punishment.
