Proposed Bill Would Lift Ban on Same-Sex Unions in Australia
Two rival bills sponsored by lawmakers from the Labor and the Greens parties have been introduced into Australia Parliament. The two bills would lift the ban on gay marriage in Australia by making same-sex couples equal to heterosexual couples and by allowing religious ministers to decide whether or not to solemnize any marriage inconsistent with their faiths.
