Embalmer Accused of Stealing Gold Teeth From Dead Bodies

ImagesA 43-year old embalmer from Colorado was recently indicted by a Boulder Grand jury on eight counts of providing false information to a pawn broker and two counts of providing false information to a secondhand dealer. Adrian Kline has been accused of stealing gold teeth from corpses and then selling them to pawn shops for cash.

Kline would tell pawn brokers that his father or grandfather had been a dentist for years and that he got the teeth from a pile that they had complied in their careers. Police found that most of the dental gold came from the last place that Kline worked as an embalmer and suspect that he took the gold from the bodies that he worked with at the mortuary. From May through November 2011, Kline made 17 sales at different pawn shops and earned up to $4,000 from the sales. Kline explained that he was making the sales to feed his eight children.
