TV For Dogs

Dog tvGilad Neumann is the founder and chief executive officer of Dog TV—the first television channel directly targeted to canine viewers. Neumann explains that the Humane Society and veterinary associations recommend that dog owners leave the television or a radio on when they leave their dogs at home for many hours. Certain noises, like fireworks and explosions, however, can cause a dog to become more stressed and scared, so it is important that owners carefully decide what shows or music to play.

Neumann researched his idea for a dog television station for four years, and the channel finally went live on February 12. Currently, the station is available only to Time Warner Cable and Cox Media customers in San Diego.
