Whitney Houston’s Cause of Death: Drowning
According to the Los Angeles County Coroner, Whitney Houston’s cause of death was accidental drowning in her hotel bathtub. Cocaine and heart disease also contributed to her death. The autopsy revealed both prescription and illegal drugs in Houston’s system, including cocaine, marijuana, Xanax (an anxiety drug), Flexeril (a muscle relaxant), and Benadryl.
