Beneficiaries of Astor Settlement Agreement
As I previously blogged, the legal battle over Brooke Astor’s estate finally ended with a settlement agreement this week. The settlement establishes a $30 million education fund and allocates $20 million to the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. The settlement also delegates some $100 million in funds to the New York Public Library, Brooklyn Museum, Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller University, New York University, Historic Hudson Valley, and the Wildlife Conservation Society.
