Diligent Bank Worker Saves Cat

Black cat cartoonAs I previously blogged, Georgia Lee Dvorak, 76, left behind will instructions that, if followed, would lead to her 11 year old cat, Boots, being euthanized. Luckily for Boots, however, a bank official at Fifth Third Bank, the executor of the estate, worked to block Boots’ execution. The bank official petitioned the court to block Dvorak’s request, asking that the language in the will be disregarded. Last Wednesday, the judge agreed with the petition and arranged for Boots to live in a cage-free sanctuary known for caring for cats. Bank officials at Fifth Third Bank donated cat supplies and food to Boots’ new home.
