Waitress Gets to Keep Mysterious $12,000 Tip

UnknownWhen a customer mysteriously left a $12,000 tip for waitress Stacy Knutson, Knutson called the police because she was not sure where the money came from. The money initially smelled like marijuana, so police tried to find out where the money came from. They told Knutson that if no one claimed the money within 90 days, Knutson would get the cash.

After 90 days had passed, Knutson’s attorney began asking the police to turn the cash over. She and her attorney filed a lawsuit for a judge to grant the police the permission to turn the money back over to her. The judge ruled that the money should be turned over to Knutson and the case is now closed. Knutson feels her prayers have been answered because the money will help her to care for her five children.
