An Unusual Inheritance
A seller recently placed the blood of the late-President Ronald Reagan up for sale. The seller came into possession of President Reagan’s blood through an inheritance that he received from his mother. His mother worked at the hospital that the President was taken to when he was almost assassinated by John Hinckley. The mother of the seller asked if she could keep the blood after the President was released from the hospital.
Reports indicate that vial of blood does belong to the late-President. The label of the vial itself contains information that links it to President Reagan, such as his patient ID number and his doctor. The Reagan National Library approached the seller with the hope that the seller would consider donating the vial to the library. However, the seller declined arguing that it would not be within the spirit of the conservative President to donate the blood.
