Eliza Presley in Court Again

Eliza Presley tried to bring a lawsuit to prove she is daughter to Vernon Presley and half-sister to Elvis Presley. Over a year ago, her case was dismissed on jurisdictional grounds. At that point, she was out of money and emotional strength to proceed.

Recently however, she has been able to restart the lawsuit. She cannot disclose where her case will be proceeding, but she has come forth with information that indicates Vernon left four separate trusts to his children and “unknown heirs” due to her adoption at birth.

If Eliza could prove that she is Vernon’s daughter with DNA evidence, this new information would make it easier for her to claim a share of Vernon’s estate. It will depend on how the trusts are worded, and to leave some of an estate to “unknown heirs” is unusual.
