Ohio Supreme Court Suspends Lawyer’s License Indefinitely
On Tuesday, the Ohio Supreme Court voted 7-0 to indefinitely suspend Frank Rozanc’s license to practice law. The Lake County Bar Association filed a complaint against Rozanc in February, accusing him of concealing assets of an estate. He falsely reported that he distributed $19,228 to a guardian of an estate and forged the guardian’s signature on receipts. His forgery was discovered, and he wrote a check to the guardian. That check did not go through because the back could not identify the account from which he wrote the check.
The Court noted that Rozanc had dishonest and selfish motivations, failed to acknowledge that his conduct was wrong, and harmed a vulnerable beneficiary of a client’s estate.
His license was suspended previously in 2009, and those suspensions still remain in effect.
