TJ Jackson As Co-guardian Of Michael Jackson’s Children

Judge Mitchell Beckloff recently named Tito “TJ”Jackson permanent co-guardian of the singer’s children. TJ will share theresponsibilities with grandmother Katherine. 

At the hearing, a woman showed up in court,claiming to be Michael Jackson’s cousin, and asking the court to delay inappointing TJ Jackson.  DebraJackson and her adult son Anthony Jackson also chimed in on the appointment,expressing their concerns with TJ as a guardian.  Debra describes that she and her son were alienated fromMichael’s three children when TJ became their guardian.  She says that this separation is not inthe children’s best interest.

There were also allegations that TJ lied to thecourt to obtain temporary guardianship, and manipulated Katherine to seekco-guardianship with him.  Beckloffasked Katherine’s attorney whether she was being unduly influenced to agreewith the co-guardianship agreement, and the lawyer strongly denied thatidea. 

In spite of these objections, and a few othercomplications, Judge Beckloff awarded permanent co-guardianship to TJ.  He observed that the children have astrong loving relationship with him.
