Living donor’s kidney thrown in trash by mistake

A brother decided to sacrifice one of his kidneys for his sister.  After doctors removed his kidney at the University of Toledo Medical Center, a nurse threw away the kidney.

After the nurse’s error was discovered, doctors spent two hours trying to resuscitate the kidney but it was too far gone to be saved.

The hospital recently suspended two hospital room nurses for their outrageous conduct.
