Perelman Accuses His Son of Document Deception
Philanthropist Raymond Perelman, 95, alleges thathis son, Jefferey Perelman, 63, illegally altered the death certificate forPerelman’s wife. His complaintalleges that his son tampered with records and engaged in document deceptionwhen he and a lawyer persuaded a funeral director to change the home addresslisted on Ruth Perelman’s death certificate. If this accusation ends up being true, Raymond Perelmanclaims he could be financially damaged.
Montgomery County authorities will review theallegations and process it like any other private criminal complaint. They will first determine whether thealleged act occurred in their jurisdiction, and then decide whether the claimwarrants criminal investigation and prosecution.
