As I have previously discussed, a Hong Kong Billionaire stated that he would give $65 million to any man who could steal his bisexual daughter away from her female wife, Sean Yeung. The daughter, Gigi Chao, has received numerous offers since her father made the original offer. Not only that but her suitors have the come all over the world to try to woo her. While this story has brought much controversy and criticism of the girl’s father, Gigi has taken a different perspective on the issue. She argues that her father’s actions are not characteristic of homophobia but that of a caring father. She told The Telegraph, “[i]t’s that he can’t accept how society would view me and the status that it would incur. Marriage is still a form of social status.” She further stated that she came to the realization that she is lucky to have such a caring father.
