DNA Test Confirms that Man is Sherman Hemsley’s Brother

I previously blogged about Richard Thornton–the man who came forward claiming to be related to Sherman Hemsley.  DNA testing has confirmed that Richard Thornton is in fact Hemsley’s half-brother.

However, Judge Patricia Chew refuses to consider the DNA results in the case because they were admitted after the October 15 deadline.  Mark T. Davis, Thornton’s attorney, thinks the case is significantly weakened without the DNA results.
