Is Death Reversible?
Dr. Sam Parnia, one of the lead experts in this field, claims that it is possible to reverse the affects of death on the human body but only for a short time period after the death of the person. Dr. Parnia explained that the cells in a person’s body do not completely die until about 8 hours after the person’s death. At this point, Dr. Parnia, explained that the body becomes a corpse and the process of reversing death is impossible. However, he reasoned that before this point, it may be possible for doctors to manipulate the natural process that cells undergo to do something like re-start the heart. Unfortunately, the chance that a person can be brought back from dead depends largely on the quality of health care available to the person.
