International Elder Law Conference with a Veterans Focus
The University of Hawaii Elder Law Program and Stetson University College of Law are presenting an International Elder Law Conference entitled, International Elder Law Conference with a Veterans Focus, on November 12-13, 2013 from 8:00 am -4:00 pm each day at The Hale Koa Hotel on Waikiki Beach. A description of the conference is provided below:
The conference will have an exciting agenda ofpresentations that cover a variety of issues facing elders, especially elderveterans. Panels will present the latest research from many countries on avariety of topics. Although the agenda is not yet finalized, the preliminaryagenda is slated to include presentations on:
- The United States Court of Appeals for VeteransClaims (CAVC)
- Women in the Military and Women Veterans’ SpecialIssues
- Brain Injury and Psychological Issues from theVeteran’s and Spouse/Family Perspectives

- Reports on Elder Law Research Projects from theWorld Study Group
- Special Needs and Divorce in the Military
