Peter Chan Sentenced to 12 Years For Forgery

JailAs I have previously discussed, the jury took their time in reaching a guilty verdict, but after two days of deliberation Peter Chan was found guilty of using a false instrument and forging Nina Wang will, one of the richest women in Asia.Wang died of cancer at age 69. Peter Chan formerly known as Tony Chan was sentenced to twelve years in prison on each count to be served concurrently. Justice Andrew Macrae believed the forgery was “shameless, wicked and born of unparalleled greed.” The trial unfolded the pairs romantic relationship. The couple met in 1992 when Wang used Chan’s feng shui expertise to find her husband.
