Five Executors Decline to Manage Russian Business Oligarch’s Estate
Recently, 67year old Russian Boris Berezovsky was found by his bodyguard dead. According tomedical examinations, cause of death was likely hanging. British courts are examining Berezovsky’s estate can pay off his debts. Nine days before his death Berezovskywrote a will choosing five executors. None of the executors have accepted the position. It is probably because the estate is tied up in litigation. Before Berezovsky died hisex-girlfriend Yelena Gorbunova sued him for 5 million pounds. In the interim anaccounting firm is dealing with the estate until an executor is appointed. Theaccounting firm does not believe that the assets will cover the debt evenbefore paying Gorbunova.
