Huguette Clark Case Set For Trial

As I have previously discussed, heiress, Huguette Clark, died Tuesday, May 24, at the age of 104. Clark was the daughter of William Andrews Clark, a business man who had made a fortune in mining. Clark’s will was filed with a Manhattan court, allowing the world to see where Clark’s estimated $300 million estate will go.

With only a month before trial, the attorneys have already begun to negotiate the division of the estate among distant relatives (most of whom Clark had never met), even though her will stated specifically that none of her money should be distributed to her relatives. It is unclear that a negotiation will be reached between the 60 different attorneys.The trial is set for September 17 in Surrogate’s Court in Manhattan.
