Jewish Groups Enter McCorkell Court Battle

As I have previously discussed,a New Brunswick judge recently issued a temporary injunction on public policygrounds to prevent the estate of Robert McCorkell, and his valuable coincollection, from being sent out of province and into the hands of the neo-Naziorganization, the National Alliance.

B’nai Brith Canada and theCentre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) have been permitted to interveneand will attempt to convince the court next month to quash McCorkell’s will sothe estimated $250,000 estate will not be bequeathed to the NationalAlliance.  General counsel for CIJAstates that the National Alliance “is much weaker than it was in the past, andwe don’t want to take any chances of money breathing new life into it.”
