Anthony Marshall Update
As I have previously discussed, The 89-year-old son of Brooke Astor will soon beout of prison after becoming eligible for medical parole. Anthony Marshall recentlyreceived a one to three years sentence for his role in stealing millions ofdollars from his philanthropic mother who suffered from dementia. Marshall did not testify at his trial or say anything during hissentencing. However, he will only serve about 60 days of his sentence due tomedical parole, meaning Marshall is so debilitated that there’s a reasonableprobability he no longer presents a danger to society. Marshall suffers fromParkinson’s disease. He cannot stand up or walk for long periods and cannot accomplish several day-to-day tasks. Marshall’s answers in a recentinterview offers feelings he did not express in trial. He shared with theinterviewers that he did regret the events that led to his imprisonment.
