Jury Selection for Huguette Clark Case Delayed

As I have previously discussed, heiress, Huguette Clark, diedTuesday, May 24, at the age of 104. Clark was the daughter of William AndrewsClark, a business man who had made a fortune in mining. Clark’s will was filedwith a Manhattan court, allowing the world to see where Clark’s estimated $300million estate will go.

Jury selection was scheduled to start September 17, however in a last ditch effort for the two sides to settle, jury selection was delayed by two days. Eric Schneiderman, New York attorney general is talking to both sides to try to come to a settlement with the 60 attorneys. It is unclear how close an agreement is. Schneiderman’s office did not comment.
