Shady Foreclosure Investors Commit Fraud
A Denver judge recently ruled investor Bill Hoff of We BuyUgly Houses acted fraudulently to obtain the home of Isaac Tyler.
Tyler died last year, leaving his house behind to his threesons, who he never formally adopted. Theeldest son was in prison, which left sons Tyrone and Spencer to deal with thehome. Against Tyrone’s wishes, Spencerwished to sell the home. After Spencerquit making mortgage payments and received a foreclosure notice, Bill Hoff andSverre Jensen offered Spencer $5,000 cash with the promise of $12,000 more oncethey sold the house. Hoff soon becamethe new owner of the home, valued at $161,000, after forging Tyler’s misspelledname on a document.
