As I have previously discussed,A.E.G. Live has been accused of being responsible for Michael Jackson’s death.After a five-month trial in California, the jury found the concert promoter notresponsible for Jackson’s death. The case turned on some contractual agreementsand the competence of cardiologist Dr. Conrad Murry. Members of the jury spentover 13 hours debating the merits of the case. Ultimately, the jury rejected thenotion that the doctor was not competent. A not liable verdict will save A.E.G.from paying out up to$1.5 billion dollars, the amount that Jackson’s childrenwere seeking in the wrongful death action.
