Clark Fortune Made off of Butte Mines in Montana

ClarkAs I have previously discussed, heiress, Huguette Clark, died Tuesday, May 24, at the age of 104. On Friday,September 20, 2013 the attorneys in the Huguette Clark estate battle reached asettlement to distribute the $300 million dollar estate. The fortune was madein the copper mines of Butte, Montana. Two things made the early days in Bannack,Montana: one was the William Clark fortune and the other was Montana state.Despite the fact that the money was funneled to New York, Chicago, and Paris,Butte and other communities in Montana remained. There is still Clark familyleft in Butte. Some are choosing to embrace the Montana and Butte legacy thatcreated this substantial fortune made possible only before antitrust and incometax.
