New Murder Trial for Kenneth Minor

GavelThe conviction of Kenneth Minor is beingoverturned by the state court of appeals because of an error in the juryinstructions. The appellate court held that the trial court went “substantially beyond” the language of the law.  As a result, Kenneth Minor will be facing a new murder trial.Minor is serving a 20 -years-to life sentence for murder. He was allegedly helpingsomeone commit suicide and covered it up to make it look like he was killed inthe course of a robbery.

Jeffrey Locker, motivational speaker, was stabbedto death in New York. Originally, the cops believed that Locker was killedduring a burglary. An investigation revealed that Locker had devised a schemeto commit suicide so that his family could collect a life insurance policyworth $12 million dollars. Minor claims that he met Locker randomly and paidhim to assist.
