Organized Art Looting After WWII Deprives Rightful Heirs for Generations

American and Israeli authorities are seeking billions in restitution and valuable works of art that belonged to Jewish heirs from German officials. The works of art were taken shortly after World War II. The US and Israel is hoping to unite heirs with their works of art. German authorities seized the art in 2011; however, prosecutors just recently confirmed the discovery of the art works including paintings by Matisse, Picasso, and Chagall. German prosecutors are refusing to disclose a full list of the inventory, which is being highly criticized because of the problems it could cause with fair restitution.
