Questions Raised Regarding Mandela’s Will

Nelson mandelaAs I have previously discussed, Nelson Mandela’s will was read in Johannesburg following his death. However, new questions about the will’s validity have been raised. Two amendments in the will refer to a will executed on October 12, 2004. However, South Africa’s City Press obtained a copy of the will as read, which was dated August 2004, without an accompanying day. This begs the question of whether the October 12 will is missing or simply never existed. If the will exists, and either an original or a copy can be found, the August will may be invalid.
