Marilyn Monroe Persona Rights Suit Filed
Virtual Marilyn, an entertainment company incorporated in Delaware, has filed suit in New York against the estate of Marilyn Monroe. The company claims that Monroe’s persona rights expired when the movie star died in 1962 , and that they have the right to license a virtual character with Monroe’s persona. The company has requested a jury trial.
