Churchill Paintings Given to the National Trust
Sir Winston Churchill painted over 500 pieces of artwork during his life. After the death of his last surviving child, 37 of his paintings have been given to the National Trust. The paintings have been excepted in lieu of inheritance tax in the amount of £9,404,990.
