Ernie Banks’ Estate Battle Continues Over Newly Discovered Assets

As I have previously discussed, the estranged wife of Chicago Cubs legend Ernie Banks, Elizabeth Banks, and his caregiver Regina Rice, who was left  all of Ernie Banks assets per his will, are involved in proceedings concerning a challenge by Elizabeth Banks to the will. Though the will was determined as valid in March, Elizabeth is challenging it based on coercion.

Rice was ordered to provide a full accounting of Ernie’s estate, and has recently revealed to the court that she and Ernie had a joint trust fund and bank account that was not previously accounted for. Rice claims the accounts should not be included in Ernie’s estate, which is challenged by Elizabeth.
