Alfred Nobel’s name has become synonymous with the prizes that he created using the fortune he made from the invention of dynamite. However, the creation of the prize in his will provoked much controversy at the time since he failed to leave much in the way of wealth to his family nor did he leave much to causes that would help the common people. But history has proven the doubters of the time wrong as the prizes established in his name have become synonymous with great achievement. The contribution his legacy has made to the advancement of human knowledge has truly been an accomplishment that would have made Nobel proud.
